This AM I grabbed this show for the ride to work, great Bertha as all probably know, a little later Mr. Charlie. As this tune was blasting a question crossed my mind.

Is the Radio Lux Mr. Charlie good enough to risk cranking the volume high enough to risk destroying your car stereo speakers over? For me the answer is a resounding YES!!!

Hi JG,

I remember sitting in a friend's living room listening to that show on 208 Medium Wave. The night time sound from Radio Luxemberg could be a bit unreliable, and when the show reached Playin' it was fading in and out all the way through, but as far as we were concerned this was quite an enhancement. My friend still has the old reel to reel recording he made that night, and although I've given him a clean copy we still dig out the old one from time to time and enjoy it just the same.

BTW you may recall I mentioned to you that it was unsatisfying listening to KOQX unable to see who was playing. Since then I've switched to Winamp, and all the info is there to see.

You are pictorially surpassing yourself lately. Good work, Captain Visual.
